Hamburger Steak and Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1lb ground beef

  • 3 teaspoons minced onion [or onion flakes]

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 small green pepper [chopped]

  • 1 small onion [chopped]

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 ½ teaspoon minced garlic

Preparation

Mix well and patty into three hamburger steaks. In an iron skillet melt 2 Tablespoons of butter.  Brown the steaks quickly on both sides. Remove to rest.


Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet to sauté the following:

  • 1 small sliced onion

  • 1 small carton of mushrooms

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  •  1 teaspoon parsley

  • Salt and & pepper to taste

  • ½ Tablespoon flour

  • After sautéing, ADD:

    • 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream

    • ½ cup of beef broth or chicken broth

 

Bring to a low boil and turn the temperature to simmer. Add the hamburger steaks into the gravy and simmer until done (about 10 minutes)
